Pilot designed to test the development of DIY search and rescue equipment that would be locally produced and would meet international safety standards – at a fraction of prevailing costs
Field Ready designed an airbag that lifts heavy debris, such as concrete slabs, weighing several tons
Commercial lifting airbags are prohibitively expensive, and Field Ready managed to produce a DIY version that meets international standards for 1/10th of the commercial cost
Produced in Syria, the lifting bags have helped the White Helmets save at least 25 lives
